About Olivia
I prioritize interactive and communicative learning, where students can practice speaking and listening from the very beginning. With more than 8 years of experience teaching French, I focus on providing an immersive learning experience that allows students to engage with the language in meaningful ways. I start each lesson by assessing the student's current level of French and then customize the curriculum to address their needs, whether they are beginners or advanced learners. For beginners, I introduce foundational vocabulary, sentence structures, and essential grammar rules, ensuring that they build a strong foundation. For advanced students, I focus on improving fluency, fine-tuning pronunciation, and expanding vocabulary. I also make use of French media, like films and podcasts, to expose students to real-world language use and culture. Throughout my lessons, I emphasize active conversation practice and encourage students to think in French, making learning enjoyable and efficient.
