About Sophie
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in music and have spent the past 9 years teaching guitar to students of all ages and skill levels. My passion for music and education drives me to create lessons that are both technically solid and creatively inspiring. I believe that learning guitar is not just about playing notes but about expressing yourself and connecting with the music on a deeper level. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with beginners, intermediate players, and advanced musicians, tailoring lessons to suit individual goals and learning styles. I focus on building strong technical skills such as chord progressions, soloing techniques, and music theory, while encouraging creativity and improvisation. Patience, encouragement, and clear communication are central to my teaching philosophy. I continually update my teaching methods by exploring new techniques and educational tools to keep lessons engaging and effective. Creating a supportive and motivating environment is very important to me, where students feel comfortable experimenting and growing as musicians. My goal is to help students build confidence and enjoy their musical journey. Outside of teaching, I stay actively involved in the music scene through performing and continued learning, which enriches the experience I bring to my students. Ultimately, I aim to inspire a lifelong love of guitar and help every student unlock their full potential as a musician.

With 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s degree in music, my guitar lessons focus on developing essential skills such as chord progressions, solo techniques, and music theory. Each lesson is personalized to fit the student’s individual goals and skill level, whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your playing. The aim is to build a strong technical foundation while encouraging creativity and expression.
Lessons include hands-on practice with rhythm, fingerstyle, and lead guitar techniques. I incorporate exercises that improve timing, dexterity, and improvisation, helping students become versatile players. Exploring a variety of musical genres keeps lessons engaging and broadens musical understanding.
I also support students preparing for performances, exams, or recording projects. Lessons are flexible and tailored to accommodate different learning paces and preferences, ensuring steady progress and motivation. Constructive feedback and clear guidance help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
For those returning to guitar or just starting, I provide patient and encouraging instruction to build confidence and enjoyment. My goal is to nurture a lifelong passion for guitar and help every student express themselves through music.
