About Jon
I can recall being twelve years old and wanting to be a musician. I can tell you that it was a difficult road and my whole approach is to encourage you to continue, even when it's difficult. I am a classically trained musician with expertise in early music through the early 20th century. I have competed as an organist both in the US and abroad and I was twice featured as a summer guest at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.

Music is a wonderful skill to have but it can be overwhelming to achieve on your own! Dedication is important and you'll be expected to practice faithfully as we progress. Because it is so vital to your success, and because it's not often taught, you will learn how to practice in a variety of ways. While beginners are certainly welcome, I believe you will find greater success here if you have experience reading music. I was never encouraged as a musician when I was young and I want to show you that your interest is valuable and respected.
