About Kiara
"For 7 years, I’ve helped many students discover the power of their voice. I work with high school and college students who want to sing better, express themselves, and grow through music. My method is all about combining strong technique with emotional expression. We work on breath, pitch, range, and control — but we also dig into what songs mean to you and how to tell your story through singing. One of my most meaningful moments as a tutor was watching a student overcome their fear of public speaking through singing. They told me singing gave them the confidence they never knew they had — and that’s why I teach. I use real-life examples, flexible lesson plans, and a lot of encouragement. Whether you want to sing for an audience or just for yourself, I will support your voice every step of the way. Singing is about more than sound — it’s about who you are. "My lessons are grounded in curiosity and exploration. I treat singing as a journey of self-discovery, where students are guided to ask questions, try new things, and trust their instincts. We explore breath, alignment, tone, and diction with a balance of discipline and play. I introduce exercises in vocal science and anatomy to demystify how the voice works, giving students ownership of their instrument. Students are encouraged to co-create lesson plans, bringing in songs they love or vocal goals they want to pursue. We also experiment with looping, digital effects, or collaborative songwriting if the student is interested. Feedback is a two-way street—we review recordings together and discuss how the voice feels, not just how it sounds. I value curiosity over perfection and believe every “mistake” is a step forward. Whether you're new to singing or returning after a break, I’ll help you reconnect with your voice and enjoy the journey."
