About Ileana
I am a practicing artist and a professional art tutor. I have founded and am director of an artist-run initiative in Athens, Athens Open Studio, which offers tailor-made tutoring for prospective university students, for IB and A level students as well as for creative individuals who wish to deepen their knowledge in the fields of Art and Design. I have been showing work in exhibitions and projects in Greece and abroad, and my works are part of private collections and have been awarded prizes such as the GnA Mamidakis Art Prize and the Artworks by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

Based on my experience at the Slade my approach towards tutoring is based on constructive feedback, sharing of ideas and references and personalised mentoring. I have a six year experience in art tutoring, including support with university applications, portfolio preparation, personal statements as well as support with undergraduate and graduate dissertations and specialised technical help in my areas of speciality which are painting, sculpture and writing.
