About Pham
I am a Software Engineering student at The University of Queensland with a strong academic background in mathematics and physics. I have regular peer-teaching experience and use clear, practical methods to help students understand and retain concepts. I am punctual, prepared with lesson notes and practice materials, and committed to creating a respectful, encouraging learning environment. References and examples of past student progress are available on request.

Teaching methods & techniques:
- Feynman Technique: I explain ideas as if I were teaching someone with no prior knowledge, forcing simple, clear explanations and revealing gaps in understanding.
- Active learning: I use guided problem-solving, questioning, and short exercises during the lesson so students “do” rather than just listen.
-Scaffolded instruction: I break complex topics into small, sequenced steps (concept → example → guided practice → independent practice).
Lesson plan:
- Presentation: Concise explanation using the Feynman approach—simple language + diagram or short demo.
- Guided practice: Work through 1–2 representative problems together; I talk through reasoning steps and ask the student to predict/solve sub-steps.
- Independent practice Student attempts similar problems while I monitor, give hints, and correct mistakes.
- Recap & reflection: Summarise key points, ask the student to explain one idea back to me (Feynman check).
- Homework & next steps: Assign targeted exercises and resources (short reading, a coding snippet, or problem set).
I have
- Strong subject foundation + teaching habit: I combine technical knowledge (math, physics, programming) with regular peer-teaching experience—so I can explain both the “how” and the “why.”
- Practical resources: I provide short, well-structured notes, worked solutions, and maybe a few challenging examples after lessons.
Who the lessons are for:
- High school students (Years 10–12): Mathematics (Calculus, Algebra), Physics (mechanics, basic electromagnetism), exam prep (entrance exams, school finals), and competition support (olympiad-style problem solving).
- First- and second-year university students: Calculus (single & multivariable), Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics, introductory Programming (C++/ Java).
- Beginners in programming: Intro C++/Python, problem decomposition, coding homework support, and unit-testing basics.
