About Clair
I started learning Spanish on the playground at around the age of seven. As a non-native but functionally bilingual speaker, I know how to learn this language and what difficulties a native English speaker should expect. I have multiple years of teaching/tutoring experience as well as a BA in linguistics and Latin American Studies and formal language education training through TEFL. I also happen to have experience with Maya language and culture for anyone interested in chatting about these topics.

For those who want to learn how to speak everyday Mexican or US Mexican Spanish for work, family, or fun. I can give Spanish lessons to beginners and assist intermiate learners but my lessons are ideal for people who want or need real day-to-day Spanish skills, especially in Mexico or the US. I focus on grammar as it is actually used (rather than textbook language), common slang, and cultural topics. Please feel free to reach out for structured lessons or simply to practice your skills and learn some slang.
