Hi there, I am Louise, a professional Storyboard Artist and Animator.
I now run my own animation company, and I have worked on a variety of productions with clients such as Disney, Universal Studios, and Nickelodeon, with my first job being at Aardman Productions (think Shaun the Sheep)
In 2016, I attained a degree in Animation Production from the top Art University for Animation in the U.K. My techniques for teaching will be mostly directed by you! Since you know where you are artistically and professionally and I would like it to be as personal an experience as possible. Although I will be using the 'Animator's Survival Kit' when teaching animation as a basis, when guiding you through the techniques of Animation and 'Directing the Story' as a basis for storyboarding. My characteristics as a tutor will be relaxed and friendly, with a conversational tone, one-to-one sessions live with me as I talk you through specific activities that get you thinking outside the box and develop your problem-solving skills. I very much like lessons to be a conversation and really enjoy students who push me to be the best teacher I can be.
For that reason, I've tended to specialise in Animation teaching for Neurodivergent Young People. Autism and ADHD trained, enhanced DBS Certified. I teach all ages and offer career coaching. Teaching Industry tools: Blender, Adobe Suite, etc.
I’m passionate about using a student's interests to drive learning in whatever subject they need help with. I like to run student-led sessions where we are driven by curiosity.
I've been teaching for several years now, and I also have teaching experience in France, giving English lessons to a variety of students. Although when I was a student, I really enjoyed helping others with critique and feedback, which was seen as so insightful, I became a director by the end of my studies!
So far, students of mine have gone from failing out of school to A* pupils, getting into college and University as well as thriving at University.
I believe you are never too old to learn anything, and I focus on building student confidence using subjects like art as an outlet as well as a craft. Depending on the student, I’m more than happy to guide them into a career they love as well as get the grades they deserve.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any advice before starting sessions. I am open to any questions, and I know trusting a tutor can be daunting. No obligation, just ask away. I look forward to hearing from you!
Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Louise.
Perfect! Louise takes time to understand what my son is wanting to learn from each lesson and provides bespoke lessons around that to help him develop his knowledge and skill. She is patient, flexible in her teaching style and clearly enjoys teaching. My son is loving his lessons with her, he feels she teaches him things that stretch him and improves his art work. He looks forward to her lessons.

Details
My rates are 40 for 1:1 classes and 7 for group classes (max 10, min 3)
If you do need a discount, let me know about buying in bulk. I'm happy to reduce the hourly rate for paying up front before lessons.
Unfortunately, my first lesson isn't free (you can't change that on here), but I do offer a 30-minute discovery call (no obligation) to answer any questions and learn about the student.
If I have to book a premises that will be extra, and if you book a lesson and don't give notice before a no-show, I will unfortunately still have to charge. I allow up to an hour before considered notice.
