About Ayman
Hi, I'm an undergraduate studying a bachelor of laws at the University of Leeds. I have two years of tutoring experience at my previous sixth-form, where I primarily taught GCSE content to students in the lower school (Years 9 to 11). My academic achievements also reflect my expertise in the subjects I tutor, receiving seven Grade 9’s, two Grade 8’s and one Grade 7 at GCSE, and achieving A*AAA at A-level in the subjects of History, Psychology, Biology and EPQ. This combination of practical experience and academic success gives me the know-how to effectively guide my students towards achieving their own goals in the upcoming A-Level exams.

I use a structured three-step approach during the 60-minute tutoring sessions for both A-Level History (Edexcel) and Psychology (AQA): 1. Teaching the Core Content I begin by breaking down the syllabus into manageable sections, delivering content in a clear and engaging way – allowing students to more easily grasp both the fundamental and niche subject knowledge that is required of them. 2. Application on Practice Exam Questions Once the foundational knowledge is solid, I guide students in applying their understanding to exam-style questions. This involves working through past papers to effectively address the requirements of each question type and analysing model answers. 3. Improving Essay Writing Skills The final step focuses on building upon and refining the students’ essay-writing and critical-thinking skills so that they can confidently write essays both up to an A/A* standard and tailored to the demands of the mark schemes. I teach students how to structure arguments logically, integrate evidence effectively, and maintain clarity and conciseness in their reasoning. I will also provide detailed and constructive feedback on any academic work they hand to me either from tasks I’ve set them or from school. This tailored and co-ordinated approach ensures that students not only learn the material but also develop the skills to confidently tackle their exams and achieve the best grades possible.
