About Lana
I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of experience and a BM in Jazz Violin Studies. I bring expertise in solo, chamber, and orchestral performance. My focus is preparing students for auditions and competitions at youth orchestras and conservatories. Lessons emphasize stage presence, advanced repertoire, and confident interpretation. I work with high school performers, conservatory students, and competition entrants. Each session is tailored to develop both technique and artistry. Students gain practical strategies for practice, memorization, and performance poise. I stress musical expression, accuracy, and self-assurance. Lessons balance skill-building with encouragement and motivation. Through consistent guidance, learners achieve audition readiness and reach their highest potential. Lessons inspire both growth and artistic excellence. Together, we work toward success and lasting musical achievement.

I guide students in developing accurate intonation and a strong sense of pitch. Lessons emphasize playing in tune across positions and using drones to strengthen ear training. Listening exercises are integrated into every session.
I work with The Aspiring Pop Star and The Classical Vocalist to create lessons tailored to their repertoire. Each student focuses on producing a pure, singing tone while mastering pitch accuracy. Mistakes are identified and corrected immediately.
Techniques include slow, deliberate practice, interval drills, and precise finger placement. I encourage careful listening and self-assessment. Lessons are structured yet flexible to meet individual goals.
Students gain confidence in performing in tune and improving musicality. Lessons strengthen both technical skills and expressive playing. Together, we create a violin sound that truly sings.
