As Ana Margarida's husband, I have been certainly the student she had for the longest time. When we met 15 years ago, I didn't speak Portuguese at all, I only understood some words in written text due to the similarity with my native Spanish, and I would struggle to understand anything in a conversation because the accent is very different and the false friends are innumerable.

Now, despite I never lived in Portugal, Portuguese is one of the languages I speak better. I can do everything independently when we are on holidays.

Additionally, we are a multilingual family thanks to her commitment to teach the language to our children, whose level is indistinguishable from any other native, despite the fact they have been in Portugal just on holidays.

In addition, after living for ten years in Spain, and due to her love for detail and precision, I can assure than her level in Spanish, and her knowledge of the Spanish culture is so high (C2) that 90%+ Spaniards wouldn't realise at all she isn't Spanish.

I have been certainly very lucky meeting such a good language teacher. You might think that being her husband I'm partial. But you don't need to believe me, take her free lesson and check yourself if I'm right.

Margarita is a great professional, she is very kind and approachable.

Ana Margarida or Marga as she prefers to be called, is a sweet teacher with a lovely smile and tons of patiente, she is very thorough preparing her classes and doesnt mind repeating things as many times as is necessary.

Ana Margarita is an amazing Portuguese teacher. I went to university to study a language degree and decided last minute I also wanted to add Portuguese to the pool so I had lots to catch up with! Ana was so amazing she not only thought me everything about the intricacies of the Portuguese grammar but we also practiced a lot of Portuguese in use which made a real difference when I went to Portugal for my work experience. As a translator understanding the culture behind the language is of upmost importance and since Ana is a native speaker it all fell into place very naturally!
