About Rhea
With over 7 years of experience teaching violin and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance (Baroque Violin), I bring creativity and patience to my lessons. I love teaching young children and introducing them to music in playful ways. My focus is on building strong aural skills through early ear training. Children learn by listening, moving, and singing before they play. I use rhythm games to develop timing and coordination. Storytelling helps bring music alive and makes learning memorable. Simple songs provide a foundation for technique and musicianship. I take inspiration from Suzuki and Kodály, both of which value listening and natural learning. Lessons are interactive and filled with creativity. I adjust each session to the child’s pace and personality. Progress is celebrated through small achievements. My historical performance background enriches the way I teach expression and style. I believe music learning should feel like joy, not work. Every lesson is an opportunity for imagination, fun, and growth.

I teach violin with a strong focus on music reading. Sight-reading is developed through systematic exercises. Students learn to handle ledger lines and rhythmic challenges step by step. Multi-part scores are introduced to build confidence in layered music. Visual-to-finger coordination is strengthened in every lesson. This approach creates fast and accurate reading. Musical Theatre Enthusiasts benefit by being ready to pick up scores instantly. Worship Singers also gain fluency for smooth performance in worship settings. Lessons are clear, structured, and practical. I use real repertoire to apply skills directly. Feedback is positive and focused on steady growth. Students progress from simple reading tasks to advanced pieces. Over time, reading becomes effortless and natural.
