About Lila
With over 4 years of experience and an Associate of Music in Piano Skills, I teach piano with a focus on real-world application. I’ve worked with students preparing for worship leading, theater performance, and wedding bands. Each of these paths inspires me to tailor lessons to unique goals. My approach is warm, motivating, and always student-centered. I emphasize both technical skills and expressive playing. Worship pianists learn to flow with singers and congregations. Theater pianists practice flexibility and collaboration. Wedding performers build versatile repertoires across styles. I encourage students to explore improvisation and creative choices. Every lesson connects directly to performance opportunities. I want students to feel confident, expressive, and inspired. Piano is more than practice—it’s a way to share music with others. My goal is to help you grow in skill and joy with every note.

I teach piano using a systematic and encouraging approach. Sight-reading is practiced in every lesson. Students work on speed-reading, interval drills, and rhythm exercises. This builds fluency and accuracy. Visual-to-finger coordination is a key part of my system. It helps students respond quickly and smoothly to written notes. Rhythm accuracy is reinforced with clapping and counting drills. I adapt lessons to suit different learners. Children engage with fun and interactive reading games. Adults benefit from structured methods linked to their goals. I’m especially skilled with The Child Prodigy and The Hobbyist Adult. Both groups gain confidence and fluency through my methods. The goal is for every student to confidently play new music at sight. Learning to read music can be both systematic and enjoyable.
