About the lesson
I would describe my tutoring approach like a friend that is here to motivate you and help you develop the tools and techniques to advance in your education. A typical lesson plan with me starts with a greeting/introduction. Next I ask questions about the concepts the student is studying and the details of their issues. Where we go from here is dependent on the type of issue, but we will typically work through some examples or discuss the concepts to reach a better understanding. I try my best to allow the student to work on their own, giving hints and explanations when necessary. Towards the end of the session, it is helpful for the student to summarize and review the material.
In the past I have mainly tutored at a college level, but I would love to help middle and high school students as well.
