About Joseph
I am a current student at the University of Texas pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics. I have a strong understanding of foundational mathematics and have done well in high school math courses including Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, Precalculus (Trigonometry), and Calculus 1 and 2. I've helped many of my peers work on challenging mathematics content in both high school and college and assisted with course work for students on a per-need basis. I pride myself on my communication skills and ability explain ideas in many different ways to help students reach a better understanding of mathematics.

I like to find out what students know, identify strengths and weaknesses, and then build off of their strengths while filling in potential blind spots in their math education.
For students seeking assistance in a course, I like to lead them through recent homeworks and lecture materials and create supplemental lessons when necessary.
For students seeking SAT prep help, I like to guide them through the math portions of a recent addition of the Princeton Review SAT Prep book or a comparable SAT prep book.
I think students learn math best when they have a solid foundation of preceding topics and have someone who can help them form a clear understanding of the ideas and principles at play.
