About Carys
I am a Physics tutor with an MSc in Applied Physics and more than 7 years of experience. My teaching focuses on wave phenomena, especially optics and sound. I enjoy guiding learners through ray tracing, interference, and diffraction. Students benefit from my clear explanations and structured lessons. I connect abstract topics to real-world fields such as photonics and telecommunications. Imaging sciences are another area where I help learners see Physics in action. I emphasise interactive learning and encourage students to explore problems from multiple angles. Mistakes are seen as opportunities to grow and understand better. Past paper practice also ensures exam readiness. Physics shows us how waves shape both perception and technology. My goal is to make that discovery both meaningful and exciting for every learner.

Physics is a powerful subject when linked to real applications, and that is the heart of my teaching style. My lessons integrate concepts from fluid mechanics, statics and dynamics, and materials science. Students quickly see how Physics applies to the structures and systems around them. I keep lessons relaxed but focused, breaking down each concept into simple, manageable steps. I encourage problem-solving from different angles to build creativity and logical reasoning. Exam support is provided through targeted strategies and past paper practice. For Physics teachers and computational physicists, I offer guidance in applying Physics to research, simulations, and practical design. Ultimately, my aim is to make Physics accessible and exciting. I want students to see how understanding these principles can support both academic progress and engineering careers.
