I was a CELTA trainee tutored by Thomas Rickman in August 20. It was supposed to be blended classes but were eventually taken online due to the Covid restrictions in Singapore. Needless to say, the course was intense and quite a few of us, technologically-challenged trainees, struggled initially to stay on course. However, we managed to adapt quickly with the help of Thomas who put in the extra time and effort to guide and counsel us, tirelessly without showing any judgement or impatience. I passed. So did the whole class. I've learnt loads; beyond textbooks and whatever proven methodologies. The most important of which is to be genuinely caring. I look up to Thomas and hope for him to be able to continue inspiring and bringing out the best qualities in any student.

As a tutor and as a person I value Tom with the highest regard.
He has taught me many things during the CELTA course in such a small amount of time and will always have my gratitude for the experience.

He was my tutor during Celta course which I took during this summer. He had amazing and extraordinary language activities. He convinced me that I can teach even with online lessons and have fun. He should touch more people’ s life to be able to share his creative methods.

Thomas Rickman was our Celta tutor this past summer.
He was the best teacher I've ever seen. After his teaching sessions, I recommended the course to my colleague, and she also registered to Celta.
Thomas will not only teach English and how to teach it, but he will also show how to cooperate with students rather than dictating them what to do. He will win students' hearts.
