About Kaia

I am a piano tutor with 4 years of experience, and I also compose and perform professionally. I earned my Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition with a Piano Emphasis. My teaching is rooted in the belief that music is a lifelong journey of discovery. I specialize in guiding students through improvisation and spontaneous composition. Beginners learn strong foundations while building confidence in creativity. Advanced players work on refining their artistry and creating their own unique sound. I emphasize personal expression and musical storytelling. Lessons balance structure with freedom, giving space for both discipline and imagination. Students explore both classical training and creative exploration. I bring my experience as a performer into every session. Expression, phrasing, and individuality are always highlighted. Piano is more than an instrument—it's a voice, and I help each student find theirs.

About the lesson

I teach piano with a focus on ear training and musical intuition. My lessons help students identify chords, melodies, and rhythms by ear. Developing these skills creates confident and independent musicians. I emphasize recognizing musical patterns without relying on sheet music. Composers benefit by quickly capturing their ideas. Advanced students practice improvisation and complex harmonic recognition. I also guide learners toward building relative pitch and working toward perfect pitch.
