About Wanda
I hold a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics and have over 9 years of tutoring experience. I work with IB and A-Level students to master mathematics with confidence. My focus is on creating conceptual clarity, ensuring students understand the “why” behind every formula. I specialize in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, helping students strengthen their core skills. I use varied problem-solving approaches to show that there are multiple ways to solve a question. This flexibility builds resilience and creativity in learning. Past paper practice is a major part of my method, preparing students for the exact style of exam questions. I also provide detailed feedback to guide steady progress. My lessons are interactive, supportive, and adapted to each student’s pace. I emphasize building a strong foundation so that advanced topics feel manageable. I enjoy helping students transform fear into confidence. With the right strategies and consistent effort, every student can conquer math challenges and succeed.

My teaching methodology is highly structured, designed to make mathematics clear and progressive. I begin with algebraic foundations and carefully build to more complex areas. Calculus concepts, such as differentiation and integration, are taught in a stepwise manner that connects to practical problems. Geometry proofs are presented with focus on logical flow, strengthening analytical skills. Probability and statistics are linked to real-world examples, showing their importance beyond the classroom. Each lesson follows a clear progression path, ensuring students see measurable growth. Tailored support is given to address individual needs and learning styles. As a Future Actuary and Problem Solver, I highlight creative methods and multiple strategies. Past papers are used extensively to build exam familiarity and confidence. Feedback is specific and actionable, guiding students toward mastery. I encourage active participation and questioning in every session. The goal is deep understanding, not surface memorization. With structure and encouragement, students are equipped to excel in mathematics.
