About Felix

With over 8 years of experience in vocal coaching, I have had the privilege of teaching students from all walks of life. Throughout my career, I have worked with over 350 students, including children, teens, adults, and professional musicians. I specialize in helping students develop their vocal technique and performance skills, whether they are beginners or seasoned performers. My approach to teaching is rooted in a deep understanding of vocal anatomy and the mechanics of sound production. I focus on building a strong, healthy vocal technique that can support a wide range of musical styles, from classical and opera to pop, jazz, and musical theater. I prioritize vocal health and ensure that students develop habits that will protect their voices and allow them to sing with ease and endurance. Beyond technique, I work with students to help them connect emotionally with the music. Singing is a powerful means of self-expression, and I believe that a great singer is someone who can communicate the emotions behind the song. I help students interpret lyrics, explore different vocal dynamics, and infuse their performances with passion and authenticity. I also provide performance coaching, guiding students on how to manage nerves, improve stage presence, and engage with their audience. I work with students preparing for auditions, competitions, and live performances, offering tailored feedback to help them perform with confidence and poise. Additionally, I teach music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to give my students a well-rounded understanding of music. Many of my students have gone on to pursue careers in music, while others simply enjoy singing as a form of personal expression. My mission is to help each student discover their unique voice, develop their skills, and perform with confidence, whether they are singing for fun or pursuing professional opportunities. I am committed to creating a supportive and inspiring environment where students feel comfortable exploring their voice and challenging themselves to grow.

About the lesson

With over 8 years of teaching experience, I’ve guided students in exploring the full depth and potential of their singing voices. My teaching method is centered on the idea that technique and emotion go hand-in-hand. I work one-on-one with students to build vocal strength, flexibility, and control, starting with key fundamentals like breath support, resonance, diction, and tone clarity. These exercises are never generic—instead, they are crafted to support the singer’s unique vocal goals. As technical skills develop, we focus on the emotional and interpretive aspects of performance.

I help students connect to their repertoire in meaningful ways, drawing out the storytelling and expressive power of their voices. I also offer performance coaching, from mic technique and movement to managing stage nerves. Each lesson includes vocal warm-ups, ear training, and repertoire tailored to the student’s preferred genres—whether that’s musical theater, pop, classical, R&B, or something else entirely. I create a safe, encouraging space where students feel empowered to take risks, refine their craft, and discover the joy of singing. My goal is to foster confident, emotionally engaged performers who truly love what they do.
