About Aerik
Hi!! My name is Aerik Miller. I reside in Metro Atlanta. I am 17 years old in the 11th grade. I have a 4.0 GPA. I'm taking a math dual enrollment class to hopefully become a math major when I graduate in '27. I love math, I feel as if it's always going to be needed in life and you'll always need to know math!

I believe in student-centered learning. Instead of only delivering information, I focus on guiding students to actively engage with concepts, practice skills, and build confidence in applying what they learn. I use: Step-by-step explanations: Breaking down complex ideas into manageable parts. Real-world examples: Connecting abstract concepts to familiar, everyday contexts. Interactive questioning: Encouraging critical thinking through open-ended questions. Varied learning tools: Visual aids, diagrams, practice problems, and discussion-based exercises to match different learning styles. Feedback and reflection: Checking understanding regularly and adapting the pace as needed. 1. Warm-up / Review (5–10 minutes): Quick recap of the previous lesson or a diagnostic activity to check understanding. Introduction of New Concept (15 minutes): 2. Explain and demonstrate with examples, often visual or story-based. 3. Guided Practice (15 minutes): Work through problems together, gradually giving the student more responsibility. 4. Independent Practice (10–15 minutes): Student tries problems on their own while I provide support when necessary. 5. Wrap-Up & Reflection (5 minutes): Summarize key points, address questions, and preview the next lesson. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor Adaptability: I adjust my approach to each student’s learning style, pace, and goals. Patience and encouragement: I emphasize creating a safe space where mistakes are part of learning. Focus on long-term learning: I don’t just prepare students for one test; I help them develop study habits and problem-solving strategies that last. Clarity: I specialize in simplifying complex ideas without oversimplifying, making sure students truly understand the “why” behind the “how.” Who the Lessons Are For Levels: Elementary (K-5) and Middle (6-8)
