About Jordyn
I'm a Classically-trained musician from metro-Atlanta with a degree in Performance. My primary instrument is cello and I've been playing for over 20 years, with 20 solid years of professional experience. My musical experiences include Classical, Pop, R&B, Rock, Jazz, and Christian music on cello, guitar, piano, and voice.
My favorite thing about being a musician is the creativity and freedom that I get to experience and practice in performances and rehearsals.
I spend most of my days planning for my students and for upcoming performances including solo, small ensemble, large ensemble, and recording studio work.
I enjoy sharing my experiences with my students through lessons and recitals that are a regular occurrence in my studio.

My teaching methods include, but are not limited to
- Dalcroze Eurhythmics - includes movement, rhythm, and teaches structure; also used as a form of therapy; best for small children
- Kodály Concept - emphasizes and builds on social and cultural experiences to teach musical concepts, encourages creativity; includes group lessons periodically
- Suzuki Method - Japanese method involving learning the instrument like a language, through exposure and involvement; requires heavy parental involvement.
My typical lesson plan includes stretches, small talk to relax, reviewing practice habits and homework, a new idea or concept, a short performance and a fun exit activity.
My lessons are for all ages, including toddlers up to seniors! It's never too late and almost never too early to teach and learn music!
