About Ernie
I am a US citizen with an INCREDIBLE and AMAZING background in teaching ESL! I have my Certification in TOEFL from the prestigious International School of Languages in Miami, FL. I have taught ESL in various levels here in Quito, Ecuador where I reside since 1997 and have worked for the most Prominent schools and Educational institutions in the land like: USA Academy, Colegio SEK, Universidad Internacional del Ecuador, CENDIA, CAMBRIDGE and Washington English Institute among others. I'm also a published Author and Blogger who has written and published more than 2,000 articles and 27 books thus far in the English language. I'm also a highly experienced Professional Translator and Interpreter.

My system is focused on conversation from the first learning session, without overlooking grammar, which is simple, concise and exact. My system is natural and interactive, and allows the students to think, speak, read, and write correctly in English without having to think in their original language or having to use previous literal translations. The purpose of this method is to guide and train students to exploit their English skills. My unique method is based upon the idea that in the early stages of learning, skills like, THINKING, LISTENING-COMPREHENSION, SPEAKING, WRITING, and READING must be fully developed in order to achieve a very accurate and total mastering of the English Language.
