About Pierre
Hi! My name is Pierre, and having gone through the IB exam I can assure you that although it is very difficult it is definitely doable. I received a 42/45 in my IB having only lost one point in my foreign language requirement (Mandarin) and having otherwise received a perfect score in all my other subjects. Now I am a student at the University of Toronto where I study Computer Science and Economics. I am very active in university clubs where I am the head of tech and logistics for the Universities largest AI club. I am a very career oriented student and hope to inspire younger students with the same passions for math, economics, and computer science that I have.

I mainly help students prepare for their IB math, computer science, and economics exams. Generally I give my students a past IB exam for the subject they want to improve at before our first class together. I will use that exam as a baseline to decide what parts of the syllabus to focus on. My classes are broken down into 3 parts. First I explain the concepts in the syllabus they have been struggling with. Then we will go through problems from past exams and textbooks that cover those concepts and I will explain how to best solve these kinds of questions and what to do to ensure they don't lose any of the "easy points" in these types of questions. Finally I will give them a couple of questions to do alone for 10 minutes from our past sessions and spend the last part of class reinforcing how they can improve at answering them.
My classes focus on how to improve their understanding of the IB exam so that they can get the highest scores possible on their finals. Every month I will strongly urge them to complete a past exam I will provide them so I can best understand their progress.
I have a very strong understanding of the IB exam and have passed it before using this exact kind of preparation. The subjects I took during my IB were: math, physics, computer science HL and Mandarin, English, and economics SL. I received 777 in my HLs and 7 in economics and English with a 6 in Mandarin.
