About Lucas
I'm deeply passionate about computer science, programming, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, which are my areas of specialization. Currently, I work as a researcher at McMaster, focusing on reinforcement learning. My academic success isn't innate; I achieve it through dedicated effort and a commitment to thorough understanding. I actively seek out additional work and explore problem-solving strategies. Outside of academia, I engage in various side projects, such as building websites for businesses and coding projects to enhance my skills. My ultimate goal is to establish a tech company or work for an innovative organization. I derive immense satisfaction from sharing my knowledge and helping others grow, drawing from my extensive experience in mathematics throughout my academic career.

Flexible to accommodate students' needs. Strong emphasis on solving past papers and practice problems. I provide comprehensive teaching of mathematical concepts, along with helpful problem-solving strategies. I break down various problems to ensure students fully grasp the concepts. My teaching style is clear and straightforward, yet delves into the theory and depth required for full comprehension. I prioritize understanding over memorization, focusing on equipping students with problem-solving tools. Specializing in high school level mathematics for grades 11 and 12, but also capable of teaching lower levels. Conducting high-quality online sessions using an iPad for effective annotations, primarily with Notability. I'll supply past tests for students and review them together. Additionally, I'll offer extra tests for independent study, followed by a session to review any areas of difficulty and practice problems tailored to their needs.
