About Karim
I'm currently a third-year bachelor's degree student (FRLLC English), and soon I'll be in the first year of Master's degree at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne. I also have two licentiate degrees in English (the above-mentionned one included). I have had quite a lot of experience in teaching, as I've previously tutored university students in groups going up to 8 pupils.

My pedagogical approach is oriented towards constructivism, with a touch of behaviourism. I rely on multiple mediums to teach (audio-visual, written...) and like to encourage students to participate orally. It's one thing to memorise the different APA signs, but quite another to pronounce the words correctly in this convoluted language. So the best way to do this is through oral practice. In addition, I believe the best way to get a student's attention is to deal with subjects that interest them... using a bit of Pavlovian classical conditionning, I like to create lasting links between a subject that the student likes and the English language (using cartoons or movie references and jokes to get a point across, for instance.)
