About Craig
My journey to becoming a teacher began unexpectedly during the pandemic. Like many parents, I found myself home-schooling my children. It was in that challenge that I discovered my true calling. Seeing their faces when a difficult concept clicked into place was incredibly rewarding, and it made me realise that my passion wasn't just for maths, but for teaching it. This experience inspired me to retrain, pursue a degree in a subject I love, and begin my path toward a teaching qualification. I believe that mathematics is more than just numbers and formulae; it's a way of thinking, problem-solving, and understanding the world. My goal as a teacher is to make maths accessible and even exciting for every student, regardless of their background or previous experiences with the subject.

As a third-year Maths and Statistics student with a perfect academic record, I'm passionate about helping others understand and enjoy mathematics. I'm excited about the prospect of becoming a secondary school teacher, and I've already started gaining valuable experience. I have a background in creating engaging learning resources and a proven track record of helping students succeed. I've tutored Year 6 students for their KS2 SATs and worked with high schoolers up to GCSE level through a local charity. My goal is to make maths less intimidating and more accessible, helping my students not only improve their grades but also feel confident in their abilities. I have tried and tested hour-long sessions covering different topics at different levels which I can adapt to suit individual learning styles.
