About Benjamin
I am a third year medical student at LSU - New Orleans. My undergraduate degree was in Mathematics and Bioengineering from Lehigh University (3.75/4 GPA). I have a thorough background in applied / engineering mathematics and acted as a peer tutor for two years as an undergraduate.
I scored a 523 on the MCAT (131/132/130/130). I believe that the critical analysis and reading section (CARS) in particular is a masterable skill, and that pre-med students can (and should) achieve a high level of success by mastering this section.

Math tutoring: 1-on-1 problem based tutoring. When assessing a problem, I try to encourage and guide students in thinking about the "why" and "how" to motivate problem solving. Capable of tutoring levels from middle school algebra to college-level differential equations.
MCAT tutoring: guided analysis of practice passages (CARS section in particular). Emphasis on test taking strategy as it relates to the exam.
