About Evan
I am actually currently a lessons instructor at Guitar Center in Evansville! I just started there again after a 4-year hiatus. Previously, I was there for 3 years and taught people from ages 5-92! I left because I moved to southern Illinois to get my band project off of the ground and spent the last 4 years touring and building up my band/business “Sturg and Friends LLC”. Now I’m back and ready to share knowledge more than ever!

Within the first lesson we will identify where the student's skill level is, what the goals are with taking piano lessons, what kind of music the student is into, what songs they would be interested in learning, provide a basic understanding of the piano and (depending on the skill level) learn a simple melody or passage of music to provide an early sense of accomplishment! From there, we will build on that foundation! Diving into fun songs/melodies and incorporating music theory every step of the way so that the student starts understanding how music really works early on! Learning music doesn’t have to be as boring and stressful as it’s made out to have been in the past. Let me show you how!
