About Alfred
Hi there, I am here to help you learn maths and prepare for all kinds of exams. I got 2A* in maths and further maths in A level, and I hold first class honours degree in maths from top uni. I got 89 in MAT and S1 in STEP. After graduation, I was a quant trader/researcher in top firms and I am currently on garden leave. More about myself, I am a nice and energetic guy haha~~I like sports and games and puzzles, and I promise my lesson won't make you feel bored. More importantly, I am able to help you in other areas if needed, and nearly at any time, beyond class. If you want to find a tutor that truly inspires your potential and helps you achieve goals, here I am.

I have been tutoring A level and GCSE students since I went to university. I focus on helping students understand the underlying logic and knowledge, rather than remembering the answer or approach. This helps them generalise their understanding to new questions and also inspire their interests. Before exams, I will also go through past papers with them, as a final-check and mock. My lesson lasts 1-2 hours per session, depending on the content and purpose. The number of sessions per week depends. I will be always available and happy to answer questions after class. I aim for GCSE, A level and admission exams. But if you are in year 1 or 2 in university, I can also try to help. More attractively, I can give career insights and help you prepare, specifically in quant industry. And my charge in this part is significantly lower than those agent firms on market.
