About Nova
As a violin tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and a BM in Music Education, I focus on developing skilled, confident musicians. I have directed youth orchestras, group violin classes, and string ensembles, emphasizing chamber music and collaboration. Section leading, ensemble dynamics, and tuning as a group are central to my approach. I have worked extensively with schools, community centers, and chamber groups. My teaching nurtures listening skills, expressive playing, and teamwork. I guide students to understand their roles within an ensemble and contribute meaningfully. Rehearsals focus on precision, tone, and musical dialogue. Collaborative playing teaches patience, communication, and collective responsibility. I enjoy seeing students grow as both musicians and team players. My goal is to make ensemble performance joyful, educational, and fulfilling. Music is at its best when shared, and I celebrate each collective achievement.

This approach focuses on creating strong, expressive violin players. Bowing techniques are central, including detaché, spiccato, and legato strokes. Exercises build bow arm control and consistency. Dynamic control is emphasized to help express musical ideas. Students work on tone quality, articulation, and smooth transitions. Posture, hand coordination, and finger strength are included in every lesson. Exercises are tailored to student strengths and goals. Students learn to play with confidence and clarity. The methodology combines technical skill with musical expression. Focused practice improves tone, bow control, and articulation. Students are encouraged to experiment with dynamics and sound. Lessons are structured, supportive, and motivating. The goal is to produce beautiful, expressive violin tones.
