About Theresa

Coucou ! Je m'appelle Thérésa, and I would be delighted to share my work and life experience as a native French speaker and French tutor.

Growing up in Haiti and going to school there I was immersed in the beauty and richness of the French language from an early age. French has always been an integral part of my life, and I developed a deep passion for sharing this beautiful language with others.

This is my first time doing online tutoring, usually I tutor my fellow American friends. I also helped translating for non English speakers who spoke French at my former high school. As an upcoming French tutor, I believe in creating a warm and supportive learning environment where my students feel comfortable making mistakes and exploring the language at their own pace. I emphasize the importance of conversation and aim to make each lesson interactive and engaging. Whether we're discussing French literature, exploring grammar rules, or practicing pronunciation, my goal is to foster a love for the language while building strong foundations.

In addition to teaching, I also strive to introduce my students to the rich culture and heritage of France. I incorporate authentic materials such as French literature, films, and music into my lessons to provide a holistic learning experience.
