About Laura
I'm a scientist (PhD), primatologist, and tropical ecologist. I'm Director of Global Conservation Institute in Santa Fe, NM. I have taught rainforest and climate change education to K-12 to graduate students, and field courses to college students for over 35 years. I have lived, worked and traveled in over 30 countries studying everything from plants to animals to people.

I am a good translator of science concepts for students of all ages: From climate change to environmental political movements to the nuts-and-bolts of basic biology. I prefer hands-on field work, but interactive lecture style is my preference in class. I am very excited to work with any student who has a clever mind and has interest in the world around them.
