About Quoc Trung
I am currently working at a bank, and have a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge in finance/economics/business. I can also help with preparing for university and job applications. Really would love to help students to perform well at school, and have a great job afterwards. I was lucky enough to receive guidance from my mentors, and I hope to do the same to help young people. !!! I have helped more than 50 students to get admitted to their dream university, gained a good mark, and apply for jobs successfully. *** About me: - I am an analyst for a bank in the UK, previously I have joined a Fellowship programme with McKinsey and had an internship at Deloitte. - I have an MSc (with Distinction) in Finance and Economics from the University of Warwick, where I deepened my knowledge of finance, economics and applications in business. I scored 75 (distinction) for my dissertation as well. - I have a Bachelor degree (with distinction, GPA 3.9/4.0) in Finance from National Economics University, Vietnam. I also gained 7/7 scholarships for excellent performance and was placed on the Dean's list. *** Other activities and achievements - Finalist in AIESEC’s Youthspeak competition – Top 9 in national round in 2021. - Finalist in FedEx express/JA International Trade Challenge-National Finals in 2018. - Bronze Medal for Physics laboratory skills- ASEAN Plus Three Junior Science Odyssey in 2017. - Presenters at 26th National Children’s Science Congress, Bhubaneswar Odisha, India in 2019 - Presenters at ASEAN-India Grassroots Innovation Forum, South Tangerang, Indonesia in 2018

For me, the most important goal is to make my student understand the lesson and find the joy in studying. I can do that by: - Theory/textbook knowledge: these are essential to understand the subject, as they lay the foundation for students. - Practical example: some concepts in economics might be hard to understand at first, but a good example can solve that! - Practical problems/assignments: apply the foundation knowledge in practical problems so that students can understand further about the subject, and perform well for tests. For me, learning is a two-way process and students are encouraged to raise questions as many as possible, and I will be there to make the learning process enjoyable for them!
