About Zoe
My name is Zoe, I'm a second year Astrophysics student at the University of St Andrews. My degree so far encompasses a wide variety of physics including astronomy, mechanics, quantum phenomena, lasers, waves and optics, as well as a lot of mathematics.
I took both these subjects in school and achieved A's. I took both to Advanced Higher, along with Chemistry and Music, but feel less qualified to teach the latter two since they are not part of my degree. am interested in part time tutoring
I am interested in tutoring since it allows me to put my degree to good use while allowing me to avoid the stresses of 8 hour shifts on my weekends. I enjoy talking about physics and have a strong understanding of the SQA content from school. With the help of a diagram or two, I think most maths and especially physics can be made a lot simpler to understand than it seems at first, and I feel I can really help some students using a range of explanations of a concept until, hopefully, one clicks.

I am offering tutoring in Physics and Maths, for any level up to and including Advanced Higher. I can provide half hour or hour long lessons which are tailored to you - I'm happy to focus on any specific areas causing trouble or go over the whole course for general revision.
It's also completely up to you how involved you would like to be - everybody learns differently, and whether you would prefer to attempt questions mostly on your own, with some support, or just have me talk and go through examples, anything is perfectly fine.
I believe I will be the most help to those going through the Scottish system as I am more familiar with it but am willing to assist with GCSE's as well - please just include this in a message first so I can solidify my knowledge of what's included in those courses.
I am very flexible with timings and can do any day of the week, but am generally less available between 10am and 2pm Mon-Fri. I can also easily accommodate lessons later at night or early in the mornings so please don't hesitate to ask if this is what works better for you.
