About Sara

I studied for four years at Stockdale High School in Bakersfield, CA, graduating from the top 4% of my class in 2015. I graduated with a 4.5 GPA, and took several AP courses: AP Biology, AP Calculus BC, AP US History, AP European History, AP Chemistry, AP Literature, AP Language, AP US Government and Politics, AP Microeconomics, AP Physics, AP Spanish, and AP Statistics. I then applied to every UC school to which I got accepted into every one, but ultimately chose to enroll in UCLA. I graduated with a 3.5 GPA with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Integrative Biology and Physiology in 2019. I will now be going straight through to medical school this coming August 2019 in Miami, Florida in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Throughout my time during both high school and college, I enjoyed tutoring students of both the Bakersfield and Los Angeles community in a variety of subjects.

About the lesson

I like to get to know my student- their strengths and areas they'd like to improve, which classes they would like the most help in, and what their immediate and future educational goals are. I will also do my best to learn the best and most comfortable way my student likes to learn. Likewise, I'll let them know about myself and how I am qualified to help them. From there we can go straight to the fun of solving any problems my student has. I am also versatile in regards to changing my teaching style if need be to adapt to the student's preferences, and am flexible in my times and schedules for tutoring appointments.
