About Aurora
My name is Aurora Rodriguez. I’m an Animation and Game Design major with a concentration in animation and double minors in production management and creative writing at the University of the Incarnate Word. I am from Dallas, Texas, and graduated in 2023 from Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School with high honors. While I was there, I volunteered as an assistant teacher at the Perot Museum of Natural Science during their camp for elementary students. There I learned how to teach younger students while still making it exciting for them.

I have a student-centered approach where each session is tailored to their struggles. I would start by finding out the student's learning styles and basing the topics in each session around their homework. Each lesson would have a clear objective stated near the start and end with a brief review of what we went over. I have a passion for literature and the English language. I believe everyone can understand the language and any piece of literature with enough support and encouragement. I would ensure my students feel comfortable enough to make mistakes and ask any questions they have. Both of these things are a necessary part of enriching young minds. I am comfortable teaching elementary to advanced high school levels. I got a 4 on both my English language and composition and English literature AP tests in 2022 and 2023, respectively. My lessons cater to various levels, from beginner to advanced, and I am comfortable helping students prepare for exams, whether those are just weekly tests or their AP exams.
