About Noelle
I have been teaching violin for more than 7 years and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance with a focus on Baroque Violin. My passion lies in working with young children and giving them a joyful introduction to music. I place great importance on ear training, as strong aural skills open the door to musical expression. My lessons often include singing, rhythm games, and movement to help children connect sound with action. Storytelling is another tool I use, transforming practice into an imaginative journey. Simple melodies provide a foundation for both technique and musicianship. I am inspired by Suzuki and Kodály methods and adapt their principles to each child. Every lesson combines playfulness with purpose, ensuring progress without pressure. I encourage children to listen, copy, and create in a supportive environment. Their natural curiosity becomes a pathway into music. Over the years, I’ve seen how interactive learning builds confidence and joy. My background in historical performance also allows me to introduce expressive playing from the start. Above all, I believe violin learning should be fun, imaginative, and full of wonder.

I believe sight-reading is one of the most valuable skills for violinists. My teaching approach builds this systematically. Students practice recognizing ledger lines, understanding rhythm patterns, and navigating multi-part scores. I place emphasis on visual-to-finger coordination for fast response. Each lesson includes exercises that strengthen accuracy and timing. I use real music to make practice meaningful and practical. Musical Theatre Enthusiasts benefit by being able to pick up scores quickly. Worship Singers also thrive when they can read confidently in group settings. I break down complex rhythms into simple building blocks. Progress is made step by step with consistent reinforcement. Sight-reading becomes smoother with every session. By the end, students can approach any new piece without fear. My goal is to create readers who are independent and confident.
