Singing Lessons for All Levels – Classical, Musical Theater & Pop

Are you eager to improve your singing skills? Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or professional singer, my online lessons are tailored to your individual needs. I specialize in a variety of styles, including classical, musical theater, and pop, and teach via Microsoft Teams, with each lesson lasting around 50-55 minutes.

My approach is focused on ensuring that you make noticeable progress in every lesson. The first 20-30 minutes are dedicated to vocal exercises, breathing techniques, and posture correction. This foundation allows us to approach the musical repertoire in a healthy and sustainable way. Together, we will choose pieces that match your voice, while also prioritizing vocal development and technique.

I place particular emphasis on expanding your vocal range and enhancing your interpretation of songs. After just a few lessons, many students notice an improvement in their ability to sing in the high register and experience a significant increase in their pitch range. Whether you're looking to sing with more confidence, improve pitch accuracy, develop vocal freedom, or strengthen your performance interpretation, I am here to help you achieve your goals.

Please Note: I am based in Romania (EEST, GMT +3), which is 7 hours ahead of EST (New York) and 10 hours ahead of PST (San Francisco). I am available for lessons with students in the USA during their morning or daytime hours (from 8 AM to 2 PM local time).

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

My favorite instrument is, was and always will be the voice.

My parents are classical music lovers, there were always recordings around the house that we used to listen to, I was taken to the opera and the philharmonic from a young age, so I can't even remember since when I started loving music. I have always loved it. I sang in the choir of my music school, where I learned piano as my main instrument. From the age of 13 I took private singing lessons and started dreaming of a career as an opera singer.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

    OPERA.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

The most difficult lessons were with an elderly woman who not only had a very poor voice and no musical hearing but loved to sing karaoke. She sang everything on one note. She couldn't hit any musical sound at all. It was really hard, but in 5 lessons I managed to get her to understand when the tune went up and when it went down, and the lady even started repeating the exercises I sang to her in the correct way. That was a great success for me because I had never worked with people like her before.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

I think it's violin. Because when you play, you don't see any keys to press, like on the piano. You just have to feel the distances on the strings and learn how to automatically press them later with your fingers, and you don't see those fingers either - and it seems incredibly difficult to me.
  • What are your keys to success?

In my case I will speak about the success in singing.

In order to master your own singing voice very well, you have to study for many years and have the right teacher you trust.

In addition, one must also have a voice and musical ear, and the willingness to study regularly, to do breathing and singing exercises, to study new repertoire and not to be afraid of difficulties and to get used to the stage, to participate in concerts - maybe at the beginning only for family or friends, later at school or some event and then already on the big stage.

Musical talent is only about 30 percent anyway, and everything else is hard work.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

There are many famous musicians who would be very interesting to chat with.

Since the question is purely theoretical, I would choose people who are no longer alive: W.A. Mozart, D. Hvorostovsky and Freddie Mercury.

W.A.Mozart - because such geniuses were never born again and because I sing a lot of his music.

D.Hvorostovsky - because he was one of the best baritones of all times - had made a fantastic world career.

Freddie Mercury - I had liked him since I was a kid and he remains my favorite rock star.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

My students like me because I have experience as a teacher and I am a professional singer myself. I am good at communicating, listening, advising, my students choose their repertoire freely and if necessary, I offer them songs that suit their voice myself. I perceive the mood of the students; it is very important to me that the student feels comfortable in class.

I have patience and a sense of humor and I praise my students for every little achievement. I enjoy my work immensely, and my students feel that. They range from 10-year-old girls to elderly ladies, from pop music lovers to future young professional classical singers.
