About Zara
I am a third-year student at UC Davis studying Neurobiology and Physiology. I come from a very musical family and can't remember a time when I wasn't surrounded by music. I have been taking vocal coaching myself for the past 5 years, and I want everyone to find what I found through singing. Singing has become an integral part of my life and an important outlet for self-expression and identity, and I would love to share what I've learned along the way with others.

As a singing tutor, my teaching approach revolves around fostering a supportive and personalized learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring and developing their singing abilities. I have a deep passion for singing and a commitment to helping students discover and nurture their musical talents.
Lessons are for anyone who wants to strengthen their voice as a singer - whether for personal enjoyment, performance opportunities, or academic pursuits.
I focus on foundational aspects of singing such as breathing techniques, vocal exercises, pitch control, and performance skills. Lessons vary based on the student, but typically we will do warm-up exercises to prepare the voice and body for singing, talk about goals and areas of concern, choose a song (or two!), and practice practice practice!
