About Alexzandrea

We live in a society where math is important to varying degrees, and I happen to love math. More than my own love and desire to learn math, I love watching the light bulb moment when someone who struggles gets it. I'm dedicated to figuring out which way of explaining will make that happen for an individual. I've been tutoring for younger siblings and fellow classmates since I was 8. I've gone so far as to learn college math class material that I knew nothing about to help a friend who went on to earn their bachelor's degree. I have had the honor of taking people who really struggled to the point they outgrew me. I use practical applications in my math, so I am also very good with budgeting. I also once took a brief budgeting class in my teens, so I know how to teach budgeting with and without the responsibilities that come with being an adult. I have had many situations where my grasp of math and being aware of circumstances of life where I've helped individuals from age 3 all the way to 35. I enjoy doing it.

About the lesson

If you need help with math at a level of algebra 1 or lower levels my goal is to help you get that help. It might seem weird at first if I ask you about hobbies and interests but that's part of my magic. Once I know what you're into then I can use that to get you excited about math. I've been doing math tutoring on this basis for years. I'm also used to finding a bunch of different ways to get to the right answer. New math, old math really doesn't matter what way you use as long as you can show your work in a way that'll get you credit in school. The important part is that you learn it. I also teach budgeting for those who are interested and many can attest that I have great budgeting skills.
