About Annabelle

I am a veterinary surgeon with the privilege to use my fervour for science to provide care and life-saving treatment to animals. I hope to inspire my students to dive into the subject of biology and uncover the vast world of exciting and fulfilling real-life applications. I understand that success can be achieved in all forms and I realise the importance of focusing on the small steps required to obtain a larger goal.
I am keen to encourage people to find balance in their lives. Being an enthusiastic runner, I know the importance of a focus away from work.
As well as animals, I love people and I thrive on building strong relationships with those around me to help them feel and achieve their best. I appreciate that life throws challenges at us all, but reaching out for, and reciprocating support can be incredibly rewarding.

About the lesson

Engaging students in the 'why' behind biological studies, not just teaching them the 'what'. Hence I hope to extend depth of knowledge and aim not to teach 'more' but to teach 'better' science.
My lessons typically last 45 to 60 minutes and are composed of interactive discussion, visual illustration and applied knowledge with practice questions.
I have experience mentoring year 8 and 9 students through extra-curricular projects and providing revision support for biology and maths GCSE.
I will adapt my lessons accordingly for a range of ages from years 7-9, GCSE and A-level students as well as those applying to and studying at university.

Perfect! Annabelle has great knowledge, and according to my son, knows everything!! She's really inspired my son to continue following his veterinary journey, and given him the appetite to learn more, as well as a much deeper understanding of topics he is interested in. She is very adaptable and really tailors what she covers to the students requirements.

Perfect! I'm thoroughly enjoying my lessons with Annabelle! I'm understanding concepts a lot more through our case discussions (that had previously been challenging for me) and I'm already feeling more confident with my knowledge! I highly recommend her :)
