About Dahlia
I am a violin tutor with over three years of experience and hold a Bachelor of Music in Chamber Music with a Violin focus. My teaching approach integrates music theory, aural skills, and sight-reading directly into violin practice. I believe that understanding the structure of music enhances both technical skill and expressive performance. I teach scales, intervals, and harmony through practical bowing and fingering exercises, helping students connect theory with real playing. Lessons are designed to strengthen technique while developing musical intuition and confidence. I work with music exam candidates, guiding them through repertoire, technical requirements, and performance preparation. I also support students who wish to improve overall musical fluency, combining technical drills with ensemble and solo practice. My approach emphasizes precision, rhythm, and expressive interpretation in every lesson. I encourage active listening and performance practice to build both skill and stage presence. Each session is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and learning style, making progress measurable and rewarding.
