About Sadie
I am a violin tutor with over 3 years of experience and hold a Bachelor of Music in Chamber Music with a focus on violin. My teaching integrates music theory, aural skills, and sight-reading directly into practical violin practice. I believe understanding the theory behind the music strengthens technique and musical interpretation. Lessons cover scales, intervals, and harmony through hands-on bowing and fingering exercises. I emphasize connecting technical skills with musical understanding, helping students play more expressively and confidently. Students are encouraged to develop both accuracy and musicality in their practice. I work with music exam candidates, providing structured preparation tailored to syllabus requirements. I also support students who want to strengthen their overall musical fluency and performance skills. Exercises are designed to be engaging, practical, and aligned with each student’s goals. Sight-reading and aural training are incorporated to improve responsiveness and musical perception. Feedback is constructive and personalized, helping learners progress steadily while enjoying the process. I focus on building technical mastery, expressive ability, and confidence in performance.
