I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a violin emphasis. My background spans solo, chamber, and orchestral performance, giving me a well-rounded perspective on musicianship. I specialize in helping students develop stage presence, refine audition techniques, and interpret advanced repertoire with confidence and artistry. I have worked with high school performers preparing for competitions, conservatory students honing their craft, and entrants aiming to excel in prestigious music contests. My teaching focuses on technical precision, musical expression, and cultivating a deep understanding of each piece. I also guide students in posture, bowing control, intonation, and tone development, building strong foundations for long-term growth. My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundations and inspiring a love for music. I guide students from beginners to advanced levels, helping them develop excellent bowing control, intonation, and tone. We also work on musical expression, phrasing, and posture to create confident, expressive performers.
I emphasize personalized learning, adapting lessons to each student’s pace and goals. Technical exercises are combined with real pieces to make practice engaging and rewarding. I also include exercises for sight-reading, rhythm, and ear training to strengthen overall musicianship.
For students involved in singing or ensemble activities, I provide support to help them excel and integrate smoothly in group settings. I encourage regular performance practice to build confidence and stage presence.
Through consistent feedback and encouragement, I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and productive. My goal is not only to teach violin but to nurture creativity, discipline, and a lifelong passion for music.
