I asked Alex to work with my son beginning in early October because he was struggling with virtual instruction as a first-time cello player. They have been working together now for two months, and his growth as a musician has been amazing! She has helped him correct errors in his posture and hand positioning and also helped him work through a bout of perfectionism. Alex is patient, calm and very knowledgeable! She absolutely is a 'natural' teacher. In addition, she is punctual and consistently available. I believe it is important to have one on one teaching when beginning a new instrument. Alex is a fantastic teacher and is incredibly talented. She works well with kids and I recommend her to everyone I know who has kids in orchestra. She worked with my son when he started playing the bass. Having those one on one sessions in the beginning made a world of difference in his understanding and in his attitude towards being in orchestra.
