About Nicholette

Born in Trinidad and raised in Brooklyn, NY, diversity & dynamism have always been at the core of my expression. My journey began with writing short stories, and dances playfully through several disciplines such as painting, graphic design, songwriting and music production.

In the past I’ve used my art as a tool to advocate for myself and other underrepresented groups. I love to test the bounds of limits by combining seemingly opposite ideas in her work, and challenge the students I work with to do the same. I now fuse my interests in art and tech to become a creative problem solver — using art to inspire, teach, and heal — as I believe love and understanding is the true path to freedom.

About the lesson

You have an inner voice and language that longs to be understood, but sometimes day to day words aren’t enough! We need images, symbols, sounds and characters to help them come alive. Let me be your guide in helping you express your truth!

I have over 10 years experience in graphic design, creative writing and poetry/rapping, coupled with 4 years of music production and painting experience. I also have an equally expansive background in Information Security, so you can trust me with your technical needs as your virtual tutor! Looking forward to working with your hidden genius :)
