About Christo

When you study singing with me, you enter a space that celebrates your individuality and nurtures your musical growth. I design lessons to meet your unique needs, whether you’re focused on developing foundational technique, expanding your vocal range, or preparing for performances and auditions. You’re encouraged to bring music that resonates with you so lessons remain engaging and meaningful. Our sessions combine technical work such as breath support, pitch control, and tone shaping with creative exercises including vocal games, storytelling, and imagery to deepen your connection with the music and your emotional expression. I pay close attention to your energy and emotional state during each lesson, tailoring our focus to provide calming breathwork or invigorating vocal drills as appropriate. My goal is to cultivate a warm, supportive environment where you feel confident to explore and develop your voice without judgment. Together, we build a manageable practice routine tailored to your life that encourages steady progress and motivation. I also offer coaching in harmony singing, songwriting, and stage presence to help you grow as a versatile artist. Whether you sing for personal fulfillment or professional goals, I am here to support your journey.

About the lesson

Singing is a deeply personal and transformative experience that blends the technical with the emotional, and my teaching philosophy is designed to support this balance through Communication, Creativity, Cultural Sensitivity, and Accountability. I prioritize open and honest communication from the outset, creating a space where you can express your goals and concerns freely, and where each technique is explained with clarity and relevance.

Creativity is central to making the voice come alive; I incorporate imaginative exercises such as vocal storytelling, improvisation, and lyric exploration to help you connect with your material on a deeper level and cultivate an authentic artistic voice. Cultural sensitivity guides our choice of repertoire and interpretation, as I encourage students to honor the cultural origins and meanings of songs while also embracing their own cultural identities in their music. Accountability is the foundation for sustained growth, with personalized practice plans, thoughtful feedback, and regular progress evaluations that keep you motivated and confident.

Alongside this framework, we focus on breath control, vocal placement, tone quality, dynamic range, and healthy technique, all tailored to your individual needs and aspirations.
