About Lilia
I am a dedicated tutor with 10 years of experience teaching chess to students of all levels. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with around 300 learners, each with unique strengths and goals. My teaching approach is centered on personalized learning, ensuring that every student receives guidance tailored to their style and pace. I believe that every player, whether a beginner or advanced, can grow with the right combination of strategy, discipline, and creativity. From building a solid foundation in the rules and tactics to mastering complex opening theory and endgame precision, I support students at every step. I adapt my lessons using real-game scenarios, pattern recognition techniques, and practical exercises to deepen understanding. My sessions are structured, yet flexible—designed to engage students in problem-solving, planning, and positional thinking. I take pride in helping students boost their confidence both on and off the board. Beyond technical instruction, I focus on improving decision-making, focus, and patience. I also specialize in preparing students for competitive play, offering guidance on tournament readiness and psychological resilience. My goal is to make chess both challenging and enjoyable. With a deep respect for the game, I aim to nurture a lifelong appreciation in my students.

My teaching strategy for chess blends real-life examples with strategic thinking to help learners see beyond the board. I guide students through practical case studies from historical games and contemporary tournaments. Each lesson is built to develop critical thinking and adaptability.
I emphasize integrity in play, encouraging students to make thoughtful, ethical decisions under pressure. Flexibility is key—whether you're learning sharp openings or calm positional setups, I adjust to your style and goals. My sessions often include real-time problem-solving challenges to sharpen your tactical awareness.
We focus on core areas like opening preparation, mid-game planning, and endgame mastery. Mistakes are learning tools, not setbacks. I provide consistent feedback that’s supportive and easy to apply.
Alongside chess, I also teach subjects that complement strategic growth, such as logic, decision-making, and cognitive development. Students build not just skill, but confidence. Whether you're a beginner or aiming to compete, I help you grow with purpose. Each move you make becomes more meaningful.
