About Sophie

I’m a passionate piano tutor with 9 years of experience and also work as a composer and performer. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies, giving me a strong understanding of both the technical and creative aspects of music. I believe music is a lifelong journey and tailor lessons to each student’s goals, whether they are beginners or advanced musicians. My teaching approach focuses on building a solid foundation in technique, theory, and expression while encouraging creativity and individuality. I have worked with students of all ages and levels, guiding them through scales, chords, repertoire, and expressive playing. Lessons often include elements of performance and composition, helping students see the bigger picture of music. As a performer and composer, I emphasize connecting personally with the music. I believe piano playing should be both a skill and a source of joy and self-expression. My lessons aim to inspire confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music, helping students achieve their goals and explore the full possibilities of the piano.
